The LASSie-cat sanctuary at langkawi is created and accommodates for stray,road accident and trauma cases. stray cats which are on the streets, they are trapped and sterilized, then returned to their normal habitat. The Sanctuary hopes to control the stray population. An adoption centre is also in operation. Animals put up for adoption are spayed, neutered, dewormed and vaccinated. The organization also runs the Langkawi Island Animal Clinic - a charity project aimed at the sterilization of the stray cat population.
